Sovereign Transport in Liverpool has been recognised by Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, for its outstanding sales and marketing performance and the role it has played in the expansion of Palletways this year.
Sovereign Transport is one of more than 110 members that form the UK Palletways network. The company scooped two coveted trophies – the Palletways National Sales Award and the Palletways National Marketing Award at its 2017 Sales Conference. The ceremony marked twelve months of outstanding achievement in sales and marketing by Sovereign Transport, which is a founding member of Palletways.
Rachael Forshaw, operations director at Sovereign Transport, said: “Winning these awards is a fantastic way to end another successful year working with Palletways. We’re delighted to have emerged triumphant as it reflects the dedication and hard work of every member of staff at our depots to improve our volumes and bring new business into the network.”
Sovereign Transport helped Palletways UK move a record breaking 5.4 million pallets – the biggest year for the network to date. The 2016/17 figure beat the previous year’s record by some 300,000 pallets.
Commenting, Dave Walmsley, Palletways UK managing director, said: “Sovereign Transport has made a significant contribution to the strength of the network over the past 12 months and their efforts are well deserving of these awards. The company has been a top performer over the past 12 months, setting an excellent example to the industry. We’re delighted the team is part of the Palletways family and the award officially recognises their continuing excellence.”
