HGV Class 1 Days Driver & HGV Class 2 Days Driver

The person we’re looking for would ideally have experience of multi-drop and collection rounds, however, we would always be interested in speaking to newly qualified drivers.

The role requires multi-drop delivery runs to be completed daily. Starting at our depot in Barry, you will depart in the morning with your run, sometimes return for a second run, and then complete customer collections to bring back to the depot. The warehouse team will load your vehicle, you will support them in advising the order you want the freight.

In addition to having the ability to drive a Class 1 vehicle, your license need to not have any DR10 or IN10, (or equivalent) license offence codes and no more than 6 points on your license. An in date driver CPC is a must.

Working hours:, Monday – Friday 07:00 start, plus a rota for Saturday shifts

Class One: £12.56 per hour, overtime at £18.84 per hour.

Class Two: £11.02 per hour, overtime at £16.53 per hour.

Class One Days

Class Two Days

HGV Class 1 night Driver

You will be responsible for trunking our customers freight from our depot in Barry, up to the Hub in Fradley, and returning back to our depot with shipments needed for the following days operation.

Working with the other night drivers, you will help to make sure that we continue to provide our market leading service. Palletways is the one of the best pallet networks in the UK, delivering a service in excess of our customers offerings based on our industry leading IT platform and investment in our staff.

Successful candidates will have previous driving experience and be able to work well in a team. You will also have the ability to drive a Class 1 vehicle without any DR10 or IN10 (or equivalent) license offence codes and no more than 3 points on your license. Experience with digital tacho cards is a must along with an in date driver CPC qualification card.

Working hours: Contract of guaranteed 50 hours per week at £14.50 per hour. In addition there will be opportunities to earn overtime paid at the same rate.
